CFL ON TSN
For the third consecutive year, TSN televises every single CFL game – including the playoffs and the GREY CUP. The complete 77-game package kicks off on Canada Day (July 1). Some of the highlights for this season include the Touchdown Atlantic, first regular season game in Atlantic Canada, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders 100th anniversary game.
NHL ON TSN
TSN’s all-encompassing broadcast package continues to deliver extensive coverage of Canadian NHL teams to fans across the country. During the 2010-11 season TSN televises nationally more than 70 regular season games featuring at least one Canadian team. TSN will also has live coverage of the Stanley Cup® Playoffs along with Canadian coverage of the NHL Entry Draft and NHL Draft Lottery Special.
2010 GREY CUP
The largest championship event to take place on Canadian soil lands in Edmonton this year. TSN once again delivers wall to wall coverage of the big game with extensive Grey Cup programming throughout the week leading up to the game. The thrilling 2009 Grey Cup delivered an average audience of 6.1 million viewers on TSN and REDS, making it the most-watched Grey Cup ever.
INTO THE WIND – New (1 x :60)
In his directorial debut, NBA star Steve Nash shines the spotlight on his hero, Canadian icon Terry Fox in the ESPN documentary INTO THE WIND. Nash looks at Fox’s inspiring story of courage and determination as he rose from virtual anonymity to a national hero during his Marathon of Hope. Into the Wind is part of the critically acclaimed ESPN Films “30 for 30” initiative recounting significant events, people and teams from the last 30 years in the world of sports.
IIHF WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP
Canada’s annual holiday hockey tradition in late December/early January continues in 2010-11 as the best junior players in the world head to Buffalo, NY. Team Canada is looking for revenge after losing a heart-breaking overtime decision to Team USA in the Gold Medal Game last year. TSN’s coverage of the 2010 Gold Medal game attracted 5.3 million viewers, making it the most-watched broadcast ever on TSN.
NFL ON TSN
TSN continues to provide exclusive Canadian coverage of the NFL’s marquee Sunday Night and Monday Night games. The NFL is coming off a record season on Canadian television with the most-watched Super Bowl of all time, record-setting playoff audiences and the most-watched NFL regular season ever on both CTV and TSN.
Season of Champions Curling
TSN’s extensive partnership with the Canadian Curling Association continues this season, providing TSN with exclusive Canadian rights to all Season of Champions events including the TIM HORTONS BRIER and SCOTTIES TOURNAMENT OF HEARTS. TSN’s popular TSN Curling Skins Games returns to Casino Rama on Jan. 22.
NBA on TSN
It’s a slam dunk for basketball fans on TSN. The network’s impressive package of NBA games features more than 20 exclusive Toronto Raptors games along with the NBA All-Star Game, the NBA Playoffs and exclusive Canadian coverage of the NBA Finals.
